Resolved Question: What to get family for Christmas?

I have no idea what to receive them. Im only thirteen so i cant order anything online so it needs to be something i can receive out of shops. Mum; My mum loves reading books by people like James Pattinson (i think thats how you spell it). She likes going on walks around the country side. I know she wants some clothes but im not sure what nice to receive her? I dont want anything too modern but not granny either. Which shops could you recommend (UK only please). She also loves anything for the home like maybe ornaments or lamps? Dad; He loves gardening, not with flowers but growing vegetables and just keeping the garden looking good. He also loves cooking and BBQs. I was thinking a cook book which ones would you recommend? He also likes walking but hes not to keen on reading. He adores photography but cameras are way too expensive. Grandparents; They have a little puppy (yorkie), they like to go out for meals and my nan loves soaps and my grandad puzzles and games. Please help me decide what to buy everyone. Nothing can be too expensive but i really want to receive each person at least one good gift each. Thanks:)

Resolved Question: What colour should I paint this newel?

Hi every! I have a really chilly newel that I would like to paint and put in my garden as an ornament. I also have two antique windows that I'm going to paint flowers on the panes and hang on my fence. I have a nice aged cedar fence (grey) and am wondering what colour scheme would be most appealing. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

Resolved Question: Help about fitting a garage door?

OK DIY'rs, can you help out a lady who is trying not to have her husband say 'I told you so' or making any blonde jokes? I've been given a second hand garage door front, wooden one, as our metal one is shot. It is a canopy style, if that helps. At gift it's making a not very pretty garden ornament, as I got it without really thinking it through. (I'm admitting that to you folks, and not the hubby) I thought I could just pop the new one on (cease laughing now please). So, I figured out I need a metal frame to put the wooden front on to, my questions are: Where on earth can I receive this frame from, and anybody know of a useful online guide of how to fit one, as I have no instructions, just a heap of bits of metal, and a couple of giant springs. Thanks in advance for your guidance, and not so much for any sarcastic comments I may receive!

Voting Question: How do you tell the truth if you don't have the proof?

Ok my mum had this caterpillar ornament thing in the garden, however it just cracked and fell to pieces when she found it. And now she is blaming it on me, when I haven't even touched it. It's made from a cheap ceramic material. We have had severe gales just lately, so that could have been the cause as it broke another ceramic ornament.

Resolved Question: Are gnomes SEX machines?

Let's face it, gnomes can be undeniably sexy. So very rugged and manly. Ceramic garden gnomes usually have pretty impressive packages too if you have noticed ( I certainly have). They're also known to be difficult workers, and they say nothing is a bigger turn on than a difficult working woodland creature. Short men are also known for their sex steer and virility. I imagine they make quite enjoyable lovers in the bedroom then, if one can overlook their constant drunkenness and the pungent odor of their testicles. Excuse me. I have to take a icy shower. Later I think I will make a trip to Lowes garden ornament aisle.

Resolved Question: Idea's on how I can properly mourn?

I know to some of you this may seem like a daft thing to be really upset about. In September 2010 our family labrodor Barney passed away of natural causes. He was truly the best dog anyone could have ever wished for! We rescued him from an abusive home when he was only 9 months old, we had him for 12 years. I was about 5 when we got him and still clearly remember the events of that day, my dad told me mom he was going out to receive a lottery ticket ( my mom doesn't like dogs) and came home with the biggest dog I had ever seen. He was such a big softy, he would sulk if he accidentaly killed a moth, would play battle and nibble your arm gently then lick it thinking he hurt you, he would lay next to me in bed during my time of depression when I would spend most nights crying, didn't flinch if the Chinchilla jumped on his head, and would happily watch my baby sister crawling around and act like a very caring brother when she would grab his face and eyes. I've never met such a good dog, especialy not one abused the way he was. He was neglected so bad that he would have fits if he so much as needed the toilet too bad and wasn't let out in time, or if he hurt himself running around. My parents garden isn't closed off from the main road, in his older years he was so loyal we could put him out into the garden in the morning, no need to leash him up, go to work/school, and when we came home he was still outside in the garden where we left him (': He died in the garden in his favourite spot below the trees. I had moved out from my parents home when he passed so I wasn't there when it happened, though my mom and sister were. My dad brought me up for the burial. I was distraut, everyone went to him and said their goodbyes except me, I could not face it. I regret it so much! I never got the chance to tell him how much I loved him, and give him one last scratch behind the ear. I want to be able to let go of this regret as it kills me! He wasn't a dog to me, he was more of a brother! He can never be replaced. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might let go of my grief? A way I can say my goodbyes? We do have a grave for him in the garden, where we have planted flowers that will bloom every autumn, an ornament of a labrador, his food bowl, and my sister found a tiny metal box and placed a lock of his hair in it. I'm not the type to be able to go to his grave and sob or say anything. Can anyone think of a more personal and discreet way I can say my final goodbye? Praying may be a good idea, however in no way at every am I relgious

Resolved Question: Wireless router not broadcasting?

My Linksys WRT160N router has stopped speaking to my wireless network. It still works as a wired router and hub. The broadcast light is on, but none of my wifi gear can look it (they can look next door's). I've tried resetting and running the set-up routine. The warranty has run out. Does anyone have any ideas before it becomes a garden ornament? If it was a problem with the settings or firmware, I would still expect to detect a signal using other wifi equipment. The SSID is not turned off. My laptop tells me about next-doors Sky and the other-side's BT hub, but there's nothing there that could be my router.

Resolved Question: Do i have a case? landlord/tenant?

I have TENANTS that are completely ridiculous, purposely damaging the apartment and i wanted to know what i can do about the constant harassment and about the repeated events of the tenant who jumps the fence into my garden and knocks over my religious sculptures (hindu religious flags). i have a video of her doing it as well as pictures. is this religious discrimination? she harasses my parents curses at them and tells them that hinduism is bad and such, doesn't my parents have a right to practice there religion and NOT have the tenants that rent the 2nd floor of their primary residence knocking over their religious ornaments? this is in NYC (Bronx) i don't know much about the laws but what do i tell an attorney is the cause for eviction? plus section 8 the DOH never gave me a copy of my lease and they won't give me a copy and i keep going and asking for it, can an attorney help me receive it?

Resolved Question: Does a new law generally apply prospectively & not retroactively?

Our government is drafting a new lesgislation, which will penalise its citizens with an amount from doing something (and that something, for simple argument, say, putting an ugly garden ornament in front of home). I just look at the entry into force date of that draft legisttion, which says will be determined by the governor council or the government. Is is reasonable to assume that, for sake of certainty and fairness, the draft legislation should only becomes effective on the day when it becomes law? That is, people who put ugly ornaments in front of their houses before it becomes law, should be exempted.

Resolved Question: Advanced pianists help please! Actually, any pianist really...?

My mum went to a garden centre toda- No, wait... Yesterday... And she saw as what she described "A kidney shaped piano" and I corrected her to a grand... ANYWAYS, that's not the point! She went up to it and lifted the cover as she thought it was an ornament, she then found the manager and asked if it was played by anyone.... It was, on a Friday... Or Saturday, actually I forget. But she asked if that if she came down with me if I could play it... And he said yes... What are some silent, rather longish (about 6 minutes or so), nice pieces for people to hear to in a cafe... Anything you can think of, can be classical or modern... As long as the sheet music's available please =] Thanks!

Resolved Question: I need help with Nancy Drew:Treasure in the Royal Tower?

So I'm at the part in the game where I just got the red medallion from the secret garden and got the blue medallion from below Prof. Hotchkiss's pillow. Resolved Question: Living Room Ideas for my new house?

Iv recently moved into a new home and iv got most my furniture in my living room now but i still feel its missing a few vital things. Was thinking a nice carpet for middle of living room and also a lightshade and maybe also a lick of paint on a wall or two to brighten the room up a bit but struggling to make a decision. The carpet in our living room is white and is an ivory colour (very light) and the walls are magnolia which was how the home came when it was completed a few months ago. Furniture wise we have a sofa and a matching seat which are dark brown leather with oak (coloured) legs. We also ordered another one of these chairs in a White Leather colour to break things up a bit (hopefully wont look silly or sick be selling on ebay) The relax of the furniture (tv unit/lamp stand/side tables etc) is made of solid real Oak to go with the seat legs. Decorations/Accessories such as vases/lamp/clock/ornaments are a mixture of Dark Brown/Green/Yellow and a little bit of what id call a sort of green/teal colour. I also have wide windows/french doors into back garden with these curtains - http://www.terrysfabrics.co.uk/prod/ready-made-curtains/eyelet-curtains/zest-ready-made-curtains-teal They look rather blue on the website but they look different in real life, more like a greeny teal/yellow/green/dark Brown combination. We also have matching cushion covers. So basically we've got light carpet/walls, dark brown/white seating, oak side furniture and then green/yellow/dark brown/bit of teal decoration. So as you can look we have already got plenty of colour but we're still missing a few things. Was thinking that a carpet might be a good idea but cant decide on a style colour to go with the relax of the stuff i have, im thinking brown might be a bit bland next to the brown sofa and im also thinking that the curtains already have a pattern so im thinking that a patterned carpet might clash?? I also cant decide on light shade, whether i go for something brown in colour or light or bright or just something silver like the curtain rail?? Also, ideally id be looking to paint one of the main living room walls at some point in a more interesting colour, possibly the longest wall behind the sofa or the smaller wall which seperates the living room from open stairs which we mount our LED TV on. We havent bought any pictures to put on the wall yet but im guessing we shouldnt stray too far from the colours we already have in the living room. Any good suggestion to help us along the way are more than welcome :-) Thanks Matt In answer to one of the posters questions, we also have bedrooms to finish off but we are not prioritising these right now. The magnolia on the living room walls is a whiter colour. Our sofas came from the Karlstad Leather range from Ikea, along with matching headrests. Our oak furniture came from various oak sellers on ebay and the decorational stuff came from various places such as Next, BHS and other websites. carpet wise Im quite liking something along the lines of the third carpet suggestion from Average Joe...not sure who sells it though?

Resolved Question: Christian(s): What Is the year of Jubilee?

Isaiah 61 1 The aSpirit of the Lord bGod is upon me; because the Lord hath canointed me to dpreach egood tidings unto the fmeek; he hath sent me to gbind up the brokenhearted, to hproclaim iliberty to the jcaptives, and the opening of the kprison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of avengeance of our God; to bcomfort every that cmourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them abeauty for ashes, the oil of bjoy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called ctrees of drighteousness, the eplanting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. 4 ¶And they shall abuild the old wastes, they shall lift up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 6 But ye shall be named the aPriests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the briches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. 7 ¶For your shame ye shall have adouble; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess bthe double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. 8 For I the Lord adore ajudgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting bcovenant with them. 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: every that look them shall acknowledge them, that they are the aseed which the Lord hath blessed. 10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath aclothed me with the bgarments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. 11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and apraise to spring forth before every the nations.

Resolved Question: Wooden Sword in the Uk?

So I wanted to buy a wooden sword just to have and keep as an ornament. But I will want to swing it around in my back garden sometimes. So I was wondering could I buy a sword from the UK and just keep it in my home or garden. The sword is 40 and 1/2 cm's long so it should be legal by the 2008 law to ban over 50cm long curved swords. I'll add more details if I am asked or feels it is necessary. Keep in mind I will NOT TAKE IT IN PUBLIC.

Resolved Question: Are robins the friendliest wild bird?

or are there others? I was sitting in my garden with my feet up the other day when a robin landed on my toe ! I didn't move and he just stayed there for about five minutes nodding his head and looking around and looking at me. Maybe he thought I was a garden gnome or ornament ? Eventually he flew off, but he came back later. Food wasn't available so I'm thinking he just wanted to be sociable. Is this unusual behaviour for birds. Never happened before to me anyway. Any bird experts know about the way these birds live? thanks! Just read that Irish/British robins are different to USA / other robins insofar as they were protected here more so than elsewhere; now they feel safer and so act in a more friendly manner sometimes eating out of the hand of those they arrive to trust. Yet they remain wild birds. Just thought I'd let you know !!

Resolved Question: our neighbours keep complaining about our bikes in the hallway?

Since i told my neighbour (a home owner) that i thought he was breaching peoples privacy (by trying to find out the peoples who rent property management company) he has begun a vendetta against us. We live in a block of flats where there's only 6 flats in total. He is on the ground i am on the first floor and after a whole year of us moving in he decided that our bikes in the hallway is a problem. I need to point out that the bikes are outside our front door, we have a big landing space there and no other flat live down our end of the block. So no one would ever need to walk by them. It does not restrict access or block the pathway as the area of wall the bikes lean against is in a cove. There is plenty of room!!! So they are just being difficult. These two men from the 'committee' (committee is for the home owners only, renters arnt allowed to join. It's a place for them to moan about everything who live in this block and the one next door) knocked on our door at 9:30 at night to tell us that they just been in a meeting about our bikes and that we have to move them! I lost my temper with them. But when we first moved here, we put the bikes in the garden where they began to rust even with bike covers. So we brought them in. There is no where with shelter to store them. I think we tried the outdoor thing, didn't work so let us have them indoors. every our other neighbours do not mind them being there, as i have asked them. But now these committee people are saying it is in the lease, we have not signed no lease or rule book. Our property management told us to ignore them, but its stressful. What shall i do about this neighbour who is causing the problem? I can't bare to bump into them now, they run the place like a nazi camp! They are an old couple, and when we used to talk to them, they used to bitch and moan about everyone! Considering they are Catholics and he is a priest it is a surprising behaviour! I could kick up a fuss myself and take it further as another neighbour has a huge plant outside her door- how can this be allowed?, and there are door mats, pictures, mirrors and the horrible neighbour in question have a hideous door ornament which i could say is a H&S risk as i could bump my head on it or it can fall off and i could trip over it. That's being OTT, but arn't they? They are not concerned about if it looks ugly or not that is not their argument. The committee people are only doing this before of our neighbours reporting it because of the vendetta. It is the neighbour pushing it forward otherwise these people would have no idea! They have no idea if i'm having a baby or not. If i had room in my apartment of course i would definitely be storing in there! but obviously i don't!

Resolved Question: Neighbors getting away with alot of bad things? Can they do this? Please help?

Main problems is that there is a private alley in between our houses and we share the alley but they have bikes so they use the alley more, they tend to think the alley is theirs for some reason, and the odor in the alley has became so bad we cannot walk through it, it smells like something dead rotting.. it's vile. but the odor has came through to our home! Their personal hygiene and self appearance is very rough and they appear to look like not only tramps but very weird. They are every older than mid 20's and it's 2 sisters and their brother living there.... in the back garden they've grew a 20ft hedge both sides in their garden so that no one can look in their garden, but the hedge has overgrown into our garden, breaking our fence and causing berries to fall out into our garden causing a mess? The hedge looks horrible.. it's about 20ft but we've mentioned that it needs a trim and they told us we can't touch it because there's birds in it? the hedge is on the right side of our garden. i've also caught them at night, running around the streets collecting bin bags from other neighbors (and our rubbish) and stealing them. They also go through our rubbish and look for things... they are very weird i can sometimes hear birds from their home from my bedroom at night, and their very noisy!! i can't snooze :( At the front of their home, they have alot of weird ornaments around their door and stuck to their walls, like giant spider toys, butterfly toys and gnomes.. but it makes our home look silly because we're attached.. our home looks nice and tidy, and their home looks silly... my older sister had to move out because of them... and now we every are thinking about moving but we don't want to.. it's unhappy :( but we had the idea of trying to receive them out... can we complain to someone? Who's in the right and is this bad?

Resolved Question: What to get my mum for her birthday?

Budget of about seventy pounds :) maybe more as my boyfriend will probably help too. I always receive her bath stuff, candles, ornaments etc, want to receive something special this year as she's letting me live with her after my mentally abusive dad threw me out. We're extremely close, and I can't express how much I adore my mum, she's been through domestic abuse, rape in childhood and fights fiercely for her kids. Loves flowers and plants, I often buy her bunches of flowers, she's always in the garden. She loves perfume but has loads, loves expensive jewellery and has a links of london bracelet she adores but I think theyre super expensive, as me and my boyfriend are saving for a flat she won't want me to spend much, and will moan if I do. She's very age conscious, has every the lotions and potions you can think of. She has fibromyalgia, chronic pain and tiredness, she loves massages so I thought maybe a spa day as she loves stuff like that, but I don't know if it'll hurt her. Help :)

Resolved Question: whats wrong with my goldfish?

ok so a little background detail! i won this goldfish at a fair and it came with one of those tiny plastic goldfish bowls so the next day we went out and bought a 20gallon tank with plants and ornament and an airstone etc. i also bought another common goldfish to keep it company. the tank was fine always cleaned regularly no problems. my husband and i then moved out of my mums and left the tank behind whilst we were setting up home and i went back every month or so to check on them as my mum said she would look after them. the first time i went back the tank was dirty and my mum admitted to not knowing how to clean it. so then i went back as often as i could to clean them. the first change was a full one and then partial thereafter. i also noticed that there was another goldfish amongst them! my mum said that her pal had gone and bought one on a whim and i explained that the tank wasnt big enough and that she should take him back but hes still there! so now back to the gift- the tank is now home with us and there are still three common goldfish! the first goldfish from the fair has developed black lips and in the past couple of days has developed more black on its body. since it moved in with us its dorsal fin is permanently down and its swims either really quick or just hovers close the top. the second goldfish and third goldfish are fine and have tripled and doubled in size. nothing wrong with those but whats wrong with my original one? i know i have too tiny a tank and we do plan on getting another one but like i said it wasnt meant to have three in the first place! we are getting one soon but being so close to xmas and my husband on basic pay over xmas period as its silent there isnt much we can do! the only thing we thought about was building a pond in the garden but will it be too much of a temperature change this time of year? (UK) whats wrong with him how can i help? if its something like amonia/nitrates wouldnt that affect the other fish too? because its not at the moment and the fish has been like this for well over a month. im changing the water weekly and adding stuff to it incase its difficult water. help! thanks

Resolved Question: As a UK citizen can a raise a small claim in California for a refund for goods ordered over the internet?

I ordered some garden ornaments from a supplier in California, paid the full amount, and have not received the goods for over a year. As a UK citizen can I make a tiny claim in California for a refund ? I saw the ornaments whilst on holiday in California. They were too heavy to bring home so I got the email and ordered when I back in the UK. I sent cash to cover the ornaments and the shipping. They confirmed receipt of the money, but keep prevaricating about sending the items.

Voting Question: My Golden Retriever Won't Stop Chewing?

I have a Golden Retriever, he's a year now and he just won't cease chewing my plants and my ornaments outside. He's been like that since he was a pup. Anything he could find he would chew up and left a big mess. I'm literally outside cleaning up everyday. It's impossible to have a nice garden and I'm defiantly not getting rid of him. And when I'm down in my lawn I can look big paw marks and scrapes in the grass, it's horrible looking. Please Help!

Resolved Question: How do you deal with a friend who's son breaks everything?

My pal has a two year old. I don't look her often and she prefers to arrive to mine rather than I to hers. She lives with her mom and hates it. I am not keen on him coming here because, as much as I put everything away when her son comes, and receive out toys etc he still manages to receive into something and break it. Last time it was the telephone, this time it was a garden ornament that my sister had given me (I was upset by this one). Even though she stands watching him, she pretty well much lets him touch anything. I always end up running around after him and it is really tedious. Any suggestions? We stay out as much as possible, but it is winter here.

Resolved Question: Accidental damage caused by act of god?

I was wondering if somebody could give me advice on the following; It was my son's birthday yesterday and we had a party for him. My next door neighbour has a caravan on his steer with a side awning. My neighbour the other side of me used a heavy garden ornament to weigh down the awning. During the afternoon, a huge gust of wind lifted the awning into the air (along with the heavy garden ornament) and over the other side of the caravan. Unfortunately, there was two cars parked behind and the ornament has caused slight damage to the cars (a dented bonnet on one car (the owner of the caravan) and a dented boot on the other car (a neighbour who lives next door but one) It was an act of god and therefore a complete accident. In terms of the law and responsibility, who would this fall below? Myself as it was my party? My neighbour with the caravan? or a other neighbour with the heavy garden ornament? Would the sensible solution be to each pay the damage towards the cars? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Resolved Question: The Grand National. Will someone please explain to all the boys and girls?

that banning this race would guide to banning every races, every equestrian events and every horse and pony riding; as we do not eat horses in this country there would be two choices, shoot them every or keep them in a zoo, after every, who would pay tens of thousands of pounds for a garden ornament? Cowgirl, the race is run by only the most athletic animals and it's difficulty reflects this. Today another footballer died on the pitch, should we ban running in football?

Resolved Question: i think my neighbor is stealing my mail?

I have suspicions about one of my neighbors stealing my mail as i have had several parcels sent to my home and although i keep telling my post man not to leave them on my doorstep but he keeps doing it anyway over the last 2 weeks 6 parcels have gone missing and in one of the parcels was a rather unusual garden ornament that i bought and paid for online which coincidentally my next door neighbor put one in her garden a few days ago :s I dont talk to this neighbor so it's not as if i can just comment and say something like "isnt that nice where did you receive it from" I just need to know if i checked with royal mail if they would have record of non recorded mail . thanx to every in advance for taking time to answer.

Resolved Question: MITSL ANALYSIS OF THIS POEM?

can you please do a MITSL (meaning, imagery, tone, structure, language) analysis of this poem 'what were they like' by denise levertov. ANY STUPID ANSWERS AND I WILL REPORT YOU. here is the poem: Did the people of Viet Nam use lanterns of rock? Did they hold ceremonies to reverence the opening of buds? Were they inclined to silent laughter? Did they use bone and ivory, jade and silver, for ornament? Had they an epic poem? Did they distinguish between speech and singing? Sir, their light hearts turned to rock. It is not remembered whether in gardens rock gardens illumined pleasant ways. Perhaps they gathered once to delight in blossom, but after their kids were killed there were no more buds. Sir, laughter is bitter to the burned mouth. A dream ago, perhaps. Ornament is for joy. every the bones were charred. it is not remembered. Remember, most were peasants; their life was in rice and bamboo. When peaceful clouds were reflected in the paddies and the water buffalo stepped surely along terraces, maybe fathers told their sons old tales. When bombs smashed those mirrors there was time only to scream. There is an echo yet of their speech which was like a tune. It was reported their singing resembled the flight of moths in moonlight. Who can say? It is silent now.

Resolved Question: How do I irradicate sand streaking when producing garden ornaments?

I keep getting sand streaks when i produce my garden ornaments using moulds. The ornaments are quite detailed so i use quite a wet mix. I generally use a mix ratio of 7 parts sand, 4 parts aggregate and 4 parts cement. At the minute i drain the bleed water off and agitate the concrete until the bleed stops the i finish the tops off. But i still seem to receive pesky sand streaking. The moulds are about 600-800mm and the sand streaking tends to occur on below cuts and around areas of fine detail that i cannot reach to agitate. Obviously I have to babysit my moulds every day using the agitation method and would adore to be able to pour my moulds and forget about them until i had to finish the tops off. Any suggestions on remedy for this?

Resolved Question: What do you think about my novel?

For a little while I thought, that everything was going to be ok. That it would be normal again. That mom and dad would cease fighting and screaming to each other, and we would be a glad family. I was wrong. It was one of those gloomy days. It was cloudy and grey, but the air was so thick that you could hardly breath. I took a deep breath, forcing my lungs to take that in. My grandmother and me were driving to her home. It was in Doublet. I was going to live with her ‘till mom and dad had figured out what was going to happen. But I knew the truth deep inside me. I wasn’t going back. When we arrived to my grandmother’s home, I was shocked over how beautiful her home was. “Wow,” I whispered, but noisy enough for her to hear. “Isn’t she sparkling?” She said, marveled. I was marveled too. The home was light blue. Looking like a fairytale in the gloom weather. In the sweet, little garden there were beautiful flowers, everywhere. Roses, hyacinths, tulips, and few other flowers I couldn’t name. “If you adore this, you’ll adore your room,” Grand said, smugly. I smiled. “I can’t wait to look it!” I said, excited. When I saw my room, I was shocked. I looked at Grand first, and looked at my room. I gasped, “Grand!” I half-shrieked. She laughed quietly. My room was … amazing. I had tears in my eyes. “Oh, grand.” I murmured. “Nothing to thank me for, Vera,” she said, but I turned to her and I could look her eyes sparkling. “Thank you, so much.” I said gratefully, and hugged her. “I’ll leave you alone, honey. I’ll give you a yell when it is dinner,” she said and left my room. My. Room. My room was had a soft, light lavender color. With white furniture, it made average room looking bigger. The bed was white, and had three shelves underneath, and it had a soft, lavender colored blossom bedding – matching the blossom imprint on the whole bed. Beside it was a nightstand, with a pink rose in a vase. In front of it, it was a picture of me when I was younger. I was sitting on a floor, smiling happily. I smiled with my younger self. I hadn’t changed much, I realized. I still had that baby looking face. It was still tiny, with soft features. My almost black-brown eyes matched my brown skin. It looked a little bit darker then an olive skin tone. My black hair was long - it has always been long. It was layered, even then. I sat on my bed, looking over my entire room. It had a bookshelf on the right side of the wall. It was taller then what I probably was, but smaller then the room. It was almost empty, expect for some pictures of my grandmother and me. I looked to the left, and discovered a vanity; it was also imprinted with flowers, beautiful roses. It had a mirror behind it, big enough to reflect the big bookshelf. I looked outside my window; it had a pretty view of some mountains and a sea. I inhaled the fresh air inside my room. I went and packed out my stuff. It hadn’t been a lot from first place, so it didn’t take a long time. I placed my books on the bookshelf, and some butterfly ornaments. After that I went on my clothes, placing everything in order below the bed. Satisfied, I went down stairs, eager to spend some time with my grandmother. “Honey?” I heard grandma’s soft voice over me. “Time to wake up. It’s school, beautiful,” she said. “Okay,” I whispered groggy. She went away, as the perfect person as she is. I quickly went up out of bed. Brushed my teeth, and combed my silky hair. I put on off-white, long sleeved shirt. It was laced and underneath I had a sweet heart top. With my favorite skinny jeans, I thought I looked pretty. Nervously I put on a leather jacket and went to the first day of school. They were every very nice. Greeting me and saying hello, and I quickly found out who the jerk was and who the nice one was. The one that I thought was pretty okay: was Jay. He had a nice, tousled black hair. His style was casual, rather screaming casual then “I spent a lot of time in front of the mirror”. But he was the nicest ones. None of the girls were really … nice to me. The boys had only found me attractive, and something to flirt with. While Jay … He really cared about me. He quickly became my best and only pal. But it was one boy that really stood out. He was always alone. Even the girls let him be alone. He was very mysterious and he looked exotic. He didn’t fit in some how. Not that I really did either. I blushed of the thought. I was taking a short clip, through the woods so that I could receive faster to grandma. Suddenly I heard a branch snapped. I quickly turned around, confused. “Who their?” I said, asking the stranger. “Knock, knock,” a deep voice said. I didn’t answer. I waited for the deep voice to show his face. “Aren’t you supposed to answer, my darling?” He said. His deep voice was soft. “Who’s there?” I asked with my teeth gritted. “Arnold.” He answered, and suddenly a boy, probably the same age as me jumped down from a tree. I'm only thirteen, what do you think? Be honest.

Resolved Question: I hate my little brother and sometimes wish he was dead?

I know that sounds soooooooooooooooo f**ked up and I hate feeling that way about him but I cant help it. He's 8 and has ADHD. He never listens to anyone, he's rude to our granparents and swears at them, I calls my mum a fat ugly c**t and says stuff like that to me too. If he's not allowed to play the xbox he screams and throws things around his room or will go to the front yard and scream and swear for everyone to hear and run down the road screaming. He tells me he wishes I would receive murdered and has said heaps of times that he will hold my head in water until I drown or my throat in my snooze. He hasnt been going to school for the passed week because he missed 2 days then didnt want to go back because he thinks he will be in trouble from the teachers. My mum works from home so he stresses her out and she cant focus. He shoves my little sister who's only 4. He through a garden ornament at the car the other day and cracked the glass panel on the garage door that only just got fixed 2 weeks ago and is going to cost about $800. My dad lives on the other side of the country so It's difficult trying to control him because he doesnt hear to us. Even little things he does like not eating his dinner because its not in a bowl he likes or because the meat has touched a vegetable. We have to go out of our way to make a dinner that he likes because he's so fussy. It just gets to the point where I break down in tears because I cant handle him. 10 minutes ago he through his juice box at me and it went every over the floor just because I tried to take it off of him because he didnt go to school this morning and they're for school lunches. I just dont know what to do and cant believe I actually wish he wasnt here. He is causing so much hurt for this family :(
